Spending more time at work, with her pupils and her mother-in-law Kate (Reyes) provided a solace and compromise to lighten her depression in any way. Several months after Oliver’s death, Lara meets Chris (Milby), a young man also suffering from the loss of his spouse. They initially strike a bond without the intention of getting close. Their cordial acquaintance grew to friendship and thus has helped each other move on.Later, they experience attraction for each other. Can these two broken people find love again? Or will the ghosts of their past tear them apart?

Experience the power of love when And I Love You So makes its cable premiere on cable over Cinema One’s Blockbuster Sundays on June 13 at 8pm and on Romance Central on June 27 at 6:00 pm! Available on SkyCable Gold, SkyCabel Silver and other quality cable operators nationwide.

‘Emir’ – the Biggest Filipino Musical Opens on June 9

“Emir” is the biggest original Filipino musical written for the screen.

It tells the story of Amelia, a Filipina from Ilocos who decides to work abroad to help her family. She takes care of a future crown prince – Ahmed, the Sheik’s son – rearing him, and in the process, introducing the young boy to the culture, values, and language of the Philippines.

More than a nanny, Amelia acts as Ahmeds surrogate mother and is even willing to offer her life to ensure his safety.

Her journey reveals, through words and music, the life that overseas Filipino workers live — their struggles to have a better life… their dreams, and the hope that someday their hard work will finally be rewarded.

EMIR is thus far, the only movie to take on the heart and soul of the Filipino through our innate love for music.

It is a tribute to our OFWs…The hands that work, and toil in foreign lands, and yet have one home, one heart and one spirit.

Emir is an original Filipino movie musical directed by Chito S. Roño and written by Palanca Awardee Jerry Gracio. Musical Direction by Chino Toledo, with music by Gary Granada, Vin and Ebe Dancel and Diwa de Leon, lyrics by Gracio, Granada and Rody Vera. Choreography by Douglas Nierras. Produced by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), with the assistance of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

Starring in the film is “Are You the Next Big Star” winner Francheska Farr.

Also starring are Bayang Barrios, Gigi Escalante, Bodjie Pascua, Dulce, Julia Clarete, Liezl Batucan, Kalila Aguilos, Beverly Salviejo, Melanie Dujunco, Nico Antonio and Jhong Hilario.

Emir opens in theaters nationwide on June 9.

Dongyan’s ‘You to Me are Everything’ Hits P98 Million in 3 Weeks

Ding Dong Dantes, Marian Rivera, You to Me are Everything,
The Regal Films and GMA Films co-production “You to Me are Everything” is now P2 million short
to cross the P100 million box office status!

The Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera romantic comedy has raked-in a total of P98,056,256.70 in it’s 3rd week of screening in theaters. It will only need P2 million on its 4th week to be the second Pinoy movie after “Miss You Like Crazy” to surpass the P100 million mark.

But since the film is already on it’s 4th week as of this post, then it is perhaps safe to assume that “You to Me are Everything” has already earned more than P100 million. We’ll just wait for the official report from 3rd party tabulator Box Office Mojo.

Topping the local box office chart for the weekend of May 19 to 23, 2010 is the animated film “Shrek Goes Fourth” with P59.38 million.

Following in second position is the Star Cinema comedy “Here Comes the Bride” with P32.24 million. The Eugene Domingo-Angelica Panganiban starrer has already grossed P84.44 million in two weeks.

Running in 3rd is Robin Hood while Iron Man 2 occupied the 4th position.
