“The Mistress” is poised to become this year’s biggest Filipino movie so
far as it surpassed the P100 million mark at the local box office only
in 5 days!
Based from Box Office Mojo’s report for the September 12 to 16, 2012
opening period, the Star Cinema romantic drama “The Mistress” starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo
has raked-in a whopping P106 million on its first 5 days of screening.
This is the biggest opening gross for a Filipino film this year (2012)
and second highest 5-day opening in history. Last year’s “Praybeyt
Benjamin” still holds the biggest opening record of P110 million.
