‘Praybeyt Benjamin’ Hits P318.49-M in 3 Weeks, Now the Highest-Grossing Pinoy Film Ever!


Praybeyt Benjamin is now the official top-grossing Filipino movie of all time and the first one to surpass the P300 million barrier!

Praybeyt Benjamin is a co-production of Star Cinema and Viva Films and stars Vice Ganda in his second title role on the big screen. It also stars Derek Ramsay under the direction of Wenn Deramas of the “Tanging Ina” fame.

On it’s third week of screening, Praybeyt Benjamin has broken the record of “No Other Woman” which had a box-office gross of P276.8-M in 5 Weeks. The comedy movie also became the first Pinoy film ever to cross the P300 million barrier making it the box-office hit of the century!

Praybeyt Benjamin is now the second biggest movie in the Philippines for 2011 beating “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″ which dropped to 3rd. It’s now set to break the box-office record of this year’s no. 1 movie–Transformers: Dark of Moon–which is P415.74-M.

Vice Ganda’s ‘Praybeyt Benjamin’ is Set to Become the Highest-Grossing Pinoy Movie of All Time


“Praybeyt Benjamin” is set to break the box-office record of “No Other Woman” by virtue of its P200 million gross on its first 8 days of screening!

According to Star Cinema, Vice Ganda‘s “Praybeyt Benjamin” has raked in P200-million in ticket sales from its opening day last October 26 up to November 2, 2011 (8 days).

Given that box-office gross in just 8 days, the movie is expected to surpass the earnings received by another Star Cinema-Viva Films co-production–”No Other Woman”– which registered the record-breaking P267.1 million ticket sales in 4 weeks.

Can Praybeyt Benjamin become the first Filipino movie to hit the P300 million mark?

Praybeyt Benjamin Grosses P110 Million in 4 Days, Report Says


“Praybeyt Benjamin,” dubbed as the hard-core comedy of the year, has raked in P110 million on its first 4 days of screening according to reports.

According to Star Cinema, the movie has raked in P110-million in ticket sales from its opening day last October 26 up to last Saturday, October 29, 2011.

Vice Ganda, the lead star of the movie, thanked the moviegoers who made his movie a box-office hit in less than a week.

“Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng hindi nagpakabog sa pila ng Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin. Bonggang-bongga blockbuster hit. Patuloy pa rin ang mga taong pumipila kaya nagpapasalamat ako,” he said.

The comedian also announced that more theaters were added nationwide to accommodate expected demand for the long holiday weekend.

“Sa SM pa lang kanina, yung SM Cinemas nag-tweet na 100 cinemas na ang binuksan nila. SM pa lang iyon. Sa buong Pilipinas, 10,000 cinemas na po ang nakabukas ngayon. Maa-accomodate na kayong lahat,” he added.
